Turns out the documents Booker heroically risked his career to leak were actually cleared the night before.

Booker was aware of this.  Not quite sure if he thought nobody would notice his timing or if he figured the media would be happy to maintain his Spartacus narrative.

Either way, it looks like his plan backfired.  Even CNN has picked up on the timeline — and on the fact that despite all his grandstanding about “knowingly violating the rules”, Booker hasn’t actually violated any rules.

The Washington Post goes so far as to dismiss his antics as “political melodrama“.

I think the guy deserves props for the effort, because that was some seriously epic trolling.  Mark my word, there will be memes.  Oh yes, there will be memes.

I mean, the guy compared himself to SPARTACUS! 🤣

Watching the Hercules TLJ season one episode ‘Gladiator’ is vastly more amusing in a post-Spartacus era than when it originally aired two decades ago, what with Tony Todd as a Crixus-Oenameus hybrid and Alison Bruce as proto-Lucretia. And I keep cracking up at the sight of Jeffery Thomas (Titus Lentulus Batiatus) in the role of the thuggish prison guard.

The master himself (Rob Tapert) even makes a cameo among the spectators, which I don’t recall him ever doing for Spartacus — though Michael Hurst did put in a quick appearance at the end of season 2 as javelin fodder.
